1. What this site is

This site presents information about Dictagon's services, a compliance timeline for construction product families, a readiness self-assessment, and a demonstration of how product data is converted into digital declarations.

The demonstration products are fictitious. They are illustrations of a data structure and are not declarations for any real product.

2. The free tools are informational

The compliance timeline, the readiness check and any report generated from them are informational. They are our reading of published standards and of the Construction Products Regulation, and they may be incomplete or out of date.

Nothing on this site constitutes certification of regulatory compliance, legal advice, or a substitute for assessment by a notified body. Declaration of the performance of a construction product remains the legal responsibility of the manufacturer placing it on the market.

Dates shown in the timeline are our reading of the Official Journal and of the Commission's standardisation requests. Verify any date you intend to rely on against the primary source.

3. Outputs produced for clients

Where we convert a client's declarations into structured data under a separate written agreement, that agreement governs the work and takes precedence over these terms. The client remains responsible for the accuracy of the underlying declared values; we are responsible for the fidelity of the conversion.

The DoPC standard has not yet published. Documents we generate are versioned against its current text and regenerated when it publishes. We do not represent them as compliant with a published standard while none exists.

4. Intellectual property

The content, design and code of this site are ours, except where attributed otherwise. Standards are the property of their publishers; we cite them and do not reproduce their text.

Data dictionary content referenced by this platform belongs to the dictionary that publishes it.

A client's product data remains the client's. Structured outputs we generate from it are the client's to use, including with other providers: the references in them are to public standards, not to anything proprietary to us.

5. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of this site or its infrastructure, submit other people's personal data through the forms, or use automated means to retrieve content at a volume that degrades the service for others.

The private platform behind this site is for authorised users only.

6. Availability

The site and its free tools are provided as they are, without any guarantee of availability or of being error-free. We may change or withdraw them.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the informational content of this site, including the timeline, the readiness check and their reports.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law, and the Portuguese courts have jurisdiction.
